Description

This is my submission for this event, and I would like to share with your something of why I went with this picture.
For those of you that are fellow Christians, I created the right side of it to base it off the scripture, Isaiah 40:31, which states
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint."

Where the power is bestowed to those who wait and have faith, their strength is renewed just has the majestic eagle.

This right side also have another meaning as well. It is more focused on the eagle, who had to go through a time of its life, where it makes a crucial decision between dying or living. Its ability to hunt or fly is burdened by its feathers and its beak. It goes through a painful process where it breaks its beak, and takes out its talons and take a flight to wear it can live for more years to come. In this process, it deals with rebirth, where we would have to make those painful decisions in life before we can continue on, or a process of becoming a new person. The left side also connects with the right side because of how I want to continue my artistic career, but there is always temptation or something evil, always trying to divert me from fulfilling my dream.  For the picture whole, It shows that I been through some crucial times in my life where I was almost overwhelm by dark temptations or evil things, but i managed to break out of the bondage, and like an eagle, soar through the storm, strong will and continue on the long and narrow path as an artist.

This picture have several other meanings but this is what it means to me.

Very nicely done~ The things I like the most about this are the hands and the lightning, they seem very well done and add a lot to the work and the overall feel. I agree with Mariomacros, about how cutting the hands off of the edge a long with the eagle is a bit downing. If they were fully there I believe it would add a lot. The colors are nicely done and the overall meaning is there and well expressed.
